Jojo Concept 10/08

Concept by: Henry Yamada
My main character concept. Influenced by Final Fantasy IX's Vivi, my favorite character.

2nd Level 10/06

Second level is now working. The colored blocks are the ones that appear/disappear depending on your direction. The window is now open to show the player his path out. Aside from lighting and mood, the other big difference is that the first ladder is gone. This makes the player take a completely different path than before.

In Unity! 09/30

Managed to import everything into Unity! Now to modify the 2nd level.

Maya Buildout 09/09

A mostly assembled mock-up of what things are going to look like in Unity. I already tested some assets in-engine but now I'm really going to put everything together.

A few more 08/14

A few more assets modeled and textured. They are pretty low poly and use 512x512 or smaller textures. I'm keeping the art style simple to cut down on production time.

First Asset! 08/10

Started making a few assets.

Paintover Concept 07/27

A quick paintover to help me visualize what the level is actually going to look like.

First Level Block World 07/20

At this level all the mechanics are working and the game is playable. I have: movement, jumping, ladders, and item collection working. Since this is the first, the goal is just to teach the player the basic controls by navigating the environment. The switching mechanic is working too, but it will be implemented on the 2nd level, after the accident.

Early Concepts 07/07

Concepts by: Henry Yamada
I want a cartoony art style and Henry has been helping me find it since I don't have much experience with it. Finding the right curves is tricky.

Hidden Gameplay Begins... 06/02

My idea is to explore gaming possibilities by hiding things from the player. I have a basic 2D prototype that I made in Scripting 1 so I know it works. I'll be working on fleshing out a level.
